A Dream

I had a dream. In that dream, I saw you walking down the aisle. You look so beautiful, almost angel-like. Your smile is so pure. I wanna run to you and carry you to the altar but it seems like I was paralyzed. I can’t move! Despite that, you continue on smiling while looking at the man who is waiting for you at the end of the aisle. I know you are happy and I am supposed to be happy for you but when I woke up, I cried…

I stayed in bed for awhile, thinking on the dream I barely remember. The atmosphere in the dream was radiant; it was supposed to be a blissful dream. But why am I feeling so defeated? I realized that I was just a spectator on that dream, not her groom. Why should I even expect to be her groom when I had not yet even made a move? I can be a dreamer sometimes. No, I always had a dream. And ever since I fall for her, she had always been a part of my dream.

Who am I? I am just a simple guy. I can be strict but not insensitive. I can be lazy but not stupid. People rarely noticed me, just another guy in this world. I’m not attractive and good looking but despite that, I believe there is goodness in me that can be treasured by anybody. That is what I believe…

She is different. Simplicity is her greatest asset. Despite being simple, she radiate in beauty. A girl everybody admires. A simple smile can make any guy fall for her and once you get to know her more, you will be trapped in an entanglement of love where nobody had yet escaped… at least alive.

I was trapped, still am, and forever will be.

The Genius’ Guide on How to Suck in your Study

Getting on top of your class requires a combination of talent, perseverance, and some factors that vary from person to person. It is not an easy task. However, the trade is well known. From the time that we barely understand the true meaning of education, we had been receiving lectures and more lectures from our parents, teachers or even relatives. Then it is hardwired in a few who got the ambition and the right combination to top.
Nevertheless, majority seems to do the opposite. Or maybe it is just the world’s unfair distribution of talent. Some are just so stupid or too lazy to dream.

On the other hand, doing poorly in class is never taught. We learned it from life itself. We discover it as we grow up and gain wisdom (bad wisdom). It may be a piece of cake to most, but for a few who had been doing great in every exams and class activities, it requires dedication and a little taste of stupidity itself.

So for all the geniuses or top-achievers who had grown tired of all the pretense and pressure of topping, here is a guide to help you suck in your study.

1.       Believe in Yourself

This may sound a good thing but too much of this can surely give you a go towards the bottom. Start with the belief that you outstood everyone or at least 90% of the class. This will help you strive less. The idea is this: “Why should I exert additional efforts? I know I am still better than them even if I don’t do anything”. Or you can think of it in a compassionate way: “I don’t have to study so that they can keep up with me. I feel sorry for them because I know they can’t surpass me if I exert more effort”. This is a good fuel to start sucking in class.
This belief can make you study less, attend classes in lesser frequency, and cut classes.

2.       Start making friends

If you had been busy most of your life on doing best at class, sure enough, you got few friends. This is a good thing for your social status. Explore your circle of friends. Create new ties. You will find great friends who you can truly treasure (they want you to answer their assignments and will ask you to help them cheat in exams). They will use you but remember that you’re a better being. Use them in your advantage. They will reject you at first. Remember that lesser minds fear greater minds.
But don’t fret. Once you already had a firm circle, create bonds with them. Go out every night. Party and get drunk! This will surely help you drop your concentration in class more.

3.       Gain Wisdom

Wisdom is something you can't earn through reading books or listening to discussions. It needs to be a first-hand experience and not a hand-me-down one. Explore different experiences and as you actually experience more and understand more, you will no longer be worried about school. You will no longer be tied by the shackles of grades and scores. Life is not about doing well in exams. It is about actual applications.
Think of life as the ultimate subject: a subject that encompasses everything with a lifetime of units and daily hands-on learning. After that, every subjects you are taking will be negligible, a part of a much greater one.

4.       Be Spiritual

Spirituality is a very vague thing. It is misinterpreted by most. Spirituality is not synonymous with religion or faith, so don’t worry! I will not make you into a believer if you’re not one. That is already the job of your local pastor or priest, not me. I will tell you something rather of more interest.
Spirituality is boundless. It is not limited with thoughts and logic. It goes beyond thinking itself. We had all been spiritual during the time when we had not yet been held captive by the chains of thinking. We cry when we are in discomfort. We urinate and shit when we needed to. We don’t care about what others will assume. That was when we are still very young to think. Then, we grew up. The society had imposed certain rules and limits. We are told to behave the unnatural way. Can we still attain the feeling like when we are young and set the limits that had held us captive for a very long time? Actually, the method is very simple. Get drunk!
Alcohol had been a symbol of spirituality. It had been part of many rituals from different religion. I know you knew a few. Even soldiers and warriors before get drunk the night before they go to battles where their lives are in the line. It is a symbol of oneness with your true self. No limit. Free as the wind.
Then, what are you waiting for? Grab some booze and be spiritual!

5.       Enjoy Life!!!

This is self-explanatory. Just combine the first four guides and everything else will follow! Sucking at class will definitely be at the reach of your hands. So enjoy life!
